3 out of 5 stars

I sat in the patient room waiting for care provider to come in almost 15 minutes more from the previous wait time and came 1 minute away from walking out before the care provider arrived. Care provider was very nice but MRI imagining were not available to him through MYCHARTS and there were problems uploading the test results via the 2 CDs of the MRI I brought to the office for him to view. Care provider stated that he did view one CD in his own office but couldn't view the other and he DID NOT discuss or have the imaging displayed in the patient office to review with me during the visit which I found to be wasteful. Care provider was professional and offered his opinions about my condition but overall I felt as though this visit was a waste. I don't understand why this particular Hartford Healthcare Center was not able to view test results (i.e. MRI, etc. That were already uploaded in MYCHARTS. Doesn't make sense to me as this ultimately hurts the patient and doctor relationship to discuss a true patient's diagnosis.

Dr. Kuzmik is a wonderful surgeon and a compassionate person. He took a lot of time explaining my options and discussing my decision to have surgery. I am now pain free and grateful for the care I received.

Bio

Dr. Gregory Kuzmik is a board-certified and fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specializing in spinal surgery. He obtained his medical degree from Yale University and completed his residency training in neurosurgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He completed a fellowship in minimally invasive & complex spine surgery at the University of California San Francisco. He treats a broad range of spinal pathology including degenerative conditions, tumors, trauma, infections, and spinal deformity. Dr. Kuzmik's philosophy is to first manage spinal conditions with a broad range of non-surgical treatments and only perform surgery when absolutely necessary. When surgery is required, he aims to perform the least invasive surgery possible. He does this using advanced surgical techniques and technologies including minimally invasive (MIS) approaches, neuro-navigation, and robotic spinal surgery.
